The SystemsLink Energy Manager Software is designed to provide an extremely cost effective way of implementing a fully featured energy monitoring and targeting system. It requires no great level of expertise in use or in analysis and is suitable for every organisation wishing to monitor and therefore control energy usage.

Electricity, Gas, Water, Oil, Solid Fuel or other utilities may be monitored using the package. Monitoring and Targeting allows easy identification of waste or overspend and allows savings to be tracked. Supplier EDI or data files, BEMs and meter logger data may be automatically imported. Full data validation, tolerance checks and alarms provide all necessary management information. Standard or user configured reports present the information in both graphical and tabular fashion with options to automatically email to site or view through a Web browser.

The package may be linked to mainframe systems for synchronisation of site information. Additionally all imported accounts data can then be exported to accounts for payment. This avoids the duplication of data input.

Since its launch in 1996, the software has been continuously extended and enhanced in response to user feedback and it is now used extensively in the following sectors:

CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme

The CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme (formerly known as the Carbon Reduction Commitment) is the UK's mandatory climate change and energy saving scheme. It is central to the UK’s strategy for improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions

The SystemsLink package has recently been upgraded to allow information for CRC compliance to be recorded and reported upon for the Evidence Pack. Optionally SystemsLink work with a number of associate companies that both offer advice or complete the whole process of complying with the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme based on the SystemsLink data (e.g. Carbon Counter supplied by Landmark Information Group).

Web Direct Meter Reads and Reporting

This feature is a Web based service which allows users to enter Direct Readings and run reports over the Internet. This is invaluable where previously cards, faxes or emails have been submitted with readings. Using this facility individual sites (e.g. schools, depots, stores) have direct access to their data and can view invoices. Thousands of sites are now running live with this system.

Users are given permission to view either one site or a group of sites. Entries of Direct Readings are via a Web page which displays all meters and previous readings. Date and meter readings are entered and validated before submission.

Additionally a variety of reports are available showing year on year comparisons and AMR data. On entering Direct Readings or automatic retrieval of AMR data the user is immediately able to see any variation in usage patterns. Users may design their own reports for inclusion on the Web. Configuration is easy and reports may be copied directly to the server for view by site.  

Having received accreditation for our package in August 2008 many of our clients are now successfully producing Display Energy Certificates (DECs) and Advisory reports. This certification allows any approved Energy Assessor to use our software to produce certificates. The facility is fully integrated with our main package and thus all data is stored alongside existing energy data for ease of use.
